Why did Alumina choose a Westomat dosing furnace to feed its new fully automated casting cell?

Operating exclusively in the automotive sector, Alumina depends on precise, repeatable casting performance across long production runs. Integrating directly into its new fully automated cell, Westomat supports this by maintaining controlled melting conditions and delivering dosing accuracy shot after shot. Alumina has also specified the biscuit correction option, which automatically compensates for shot parameter variations. This further reduces scrap and enhances repeatability.
2. Trusted technology for scaling production:
Alumina trusts Westomat. Three existing furnaces supply liquid metal to die casting cells. These cells process a range of aluminium alloys to cast parts including HVAC housings, pump housings, electronic components and structural brackets for the automotive sector.
3. Energy efficiency an essential factor
Energy efficiency is a vital performance metric in automotive casting. Westomat systems offer lower energy consumption compared to other solutions, a parameter Alumina monitors in daily production.
